Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join our expanding team. This full-time, permanent position involves the electrical installation and commissioning of solar PV systems, battery storage solutions, and EV chargers on residential properties. You’ll be part of a supportive team, working alongside roofing specialists and contributing to projects that make a meaningful environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission one full solar PV system per day (with or without battery storage)

• Carry out all electrical aspects of solar panel, battery, and EV charger installations

• Work to current electrical regulations and Snug Energy’s quality standards

• Maintain tools, equipment, and documentation in line with health and safety regulations

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site

• Work collaboratively with roofing teams and project coordinators

• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a tidy work environment

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience as a Solar PV Electrician

• In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, wiring, schematics, and commissioning

• Prior installation experience with FoxEss and GivEnergy systems (essential)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working at heights and in various residential settings

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

• Excellent communication and attention to detail

Qualifications and Requirements

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) (required)

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation (preferred)

• Solar PV, Battery Storage, and EV Charging qualifications (advantageous)

• Full UK driving licence (required)
