About the Role
A growing and respected leader in the home and nursing care space is seeking a Contract Employee Relations Manager to join their Human Resources team. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance. You will serve as a key advisor to leadership and staff, fostering a respectful, high-performing workplace culture across multiple care locations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage employee relations issues including conflict resolution, discrimination, harassment, and policy interpretation.

Act as a trusted advisor to department leaders and staff, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.

Investigate and resolve employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Educate and guide teams on HR policies, procedures, and workplace conduct.

Collaborate with HR leadership to align initiatives with organizational values and employment laws.

Support culture-building initiatives promoting integrity, inclusivity, and respect.

Travel between New Jersey-based care sites as needed.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations.

Experience handling sensitive issues and conducting internal investigations.

Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (Oracle preferred).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, nursing care, or nonprofit settings.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification.

Experience using systems like Dayforce, Smart Links, or PCC.
Team & Structure

Reports to HR Director.

Works alongside 2 HR Managers, 2 HR Generalists, and Payroll & Benefits teams.

Compensation
-
$105–$110 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
