Position Overview
Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) is seeking passionate, student-centered teachers to lead engaging, project-based virtual classrooms for K–12 students. This role involves teaching synchronously and asynchronously, co-teaching in PBL Work Labs, and creating real-world applications of learning. Teachers will collaborate with colleagues, participate in weekly PLCs and staff meetings, and help shape an innovative educational experience that emphasizes creativity, citizenship, and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities

Academics: Design and deliver rigorous PBL lessons aligned with school standards; monitor student progress; ensure IEP/504/GT compliance; provide enrichment/remediation as needed.

Learning Environment: Build a supportive, collaborative, and fun classroom culture that removes barriers of traditional stoic learning.

Student Support: Maintain discipline, foster social-emotional development, and oversee student clubs and extracurriculars.

Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with families, represent the school in community activities, and strengthen parent partnerships.

Instructional Technology: Use virtual learning platforms effectively; maintain live/recorded sessions; support students with tech navigation.

Student Engagement & Attendance: Track engagement and attendance, follow up with families, and implement strategies to build student connection.

Collaboration: Work with grade-level teams and leadership to plan and improve instruction; attend virtual staff meetings and trainings.

Personalized Learning: Use performance data to differentiate learning; help students set academic goals.

Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate attendance, engagement, and intervention records; support state and accreditation reporting.

Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in online education; engage in ongoing training.

Administrative Duties: Track grades, design learning plans, ensure compliance with INK policies, and prepare classroom communications.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a teaching certificate in relevant subject area.

Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience (virtual experience preferred but not required).

Ability to meet deliverables and travel as needed.

Knowledge of Texas education policies and regulations.

Strong commitment to project-based learning.
