English Language Arts Teacher (Grades 9-12)

Position Overview:

Teachers at Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) oversee all aspects of the student learning experience, creating engaging and rigorous Project-Based Learning (PBL) lessons delivered synchronously and asynchronously. In this role, you will co-teach in Work Labs, lead collaborative projects, monitor student progress, support social and emotional development, and actively engage with families and the broader school community. You will also contribute to continuous school growth by participating in professional learning communities, staff meetings, and community programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement PBL-based lessons aligned with standards.

  • Monitor student academic performance, provide enrichment, and support IEP/504/GT needs.

  • Build positive and engaging virtual classroom environments.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and involve them in the school community.

  • Use online platforms and tools effectively for instruction and engagement.

  • Track attendance, engagement, and student performance data.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to enhance instructional practices.

  • Support compliance with regulations, policies, and accreditation standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching certificate in subject area.

  • Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience (virtual teaching a plus).

  • Knowledge of Texas education regulations and policies.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deliverables.

  • Ability to travel as required for school programs and growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Familiarity with private school culture and mission.

  • Experience leading rich, student-centered PBL classrooms.
