Role Overview
Our architectural vision is focused on creating a dependable and efficient technical landscape that simplifies the delivery and support of technology, driving income growth and advancing the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) mission. This role will be pivotal in achieving that goal.
As an Enterprise Architect, you will take charge of shaping our strategic Infrastructure approach and ensuring that our architectural processes and frameworks are designed to achieve excellence.
In this role, you’ll manage a small team of Solution Architects, guiding them in reviewing, developing, and assisting in the design and implementation of technical solutions for both Business as Usual (BAU) and Line of Business (LoB) systems and services. These will be implemented across Cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
You will lead the delivery of enterprise-class, scalable, and secure solutions that align with our strategic and organizational goals, working closely with vendors and other stakeholders to ensure BHF’s technology solutions are fit for purpose with a strong emphasis on infrastructure.

The Data and Architecture team plays a key role in strengthening our architecture capabilities, providing governance, and guiding key programs, while also advancing BHF’s overall technical landscape. We focus on the strategic vision, roadmap, and governance of data and technology, collaborating closely with chapters to influence and steer the technical direction of portfolios.
Working Arrangements
Please note that this is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering an internal secondment.
This is a blended role, where you will divide your time between working from home and our London office. At BHF, we believe in the power of collaboration, so we ask colleagues in blended roles to spend at least one day per week in the office on average. The exact frequency may vary depending on the role and your activities, so we encourage flexibility in how you work to unlock your best contributions to our cause.
