Equipment Operator – Position Overview
Join our dedicated team as an Equipment Operator, where you’ll play a key role in safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment to load, transport, and offload landscape materials such as mulch, topsoil, soil amendments, and raw materials. This role requires maintaining situational awareness and proficiency to ensure safety and prevent injuries or property damage.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely and effectively operate various equipment, including:

Front-end loaders
-
Skid steers
-
Track loaders
-
Articulating loaders
-
Rubber tire wheel loaders
-
Excavators
✅ Equipment Maintenance & Reporting:

Clean and maintain equipment as needed.

Report necessary repairs and maintenance to branch leadership.
✅ Additional Duties as Assigned:

Assist with receiving materials, inventory, order fulfillment, and general labor tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Experience with Heavy Equipment – Prior experience operating loaders, skid steers, and excavators is highly preferred.
✔ Knowledge of Safety & Maintenance – Understanding proper safety procedures and maintenance protocols for equipment.
✔ Physical Ability – Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
✔ Weather Adaptability – Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain, etc.).
✔ Industry Experience a Plus – Background in landscaping, hardscaping, forestry, nursery, or irrigation is beneficial.
✔ Basic Literacy Skills – Ability to read, write, and complete daily logs for equipment maintenance.
✔ Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
