Our Security Liaison team provides Protective Security advice and support to the Royal Household, covering multiple Residences across the U.K. As an Events Security Coordinator, your role will work collaboratively to successfully plan, coordinate and deliver event security for all Royal and Ceremonial events.
Every event is different in terms of scale, logistics and guests. You’ll liaise with internal colleagues across all departments to understand the intricacies of each event, and act as the single point of contact for the organisation for all security related requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the organisation on all security-related requirements for events.
- Liaise with internal colleagues across departments to understand the specific logistics and needs of each event.
- Ensure events are delivered on time and securely, meeting high standards of safety and efficiency.
Although you will work primarily from Buckingham Palace, you will be required to work at least one day per week at Windsor Castle, with occasional national travel and evening/weekend working on a rota basis.
Essential Criteria:
- With a background in event security or supporting large-scale events, you’ll demonstrate a strong ability to plan and deliver to exceptional standards.
- Your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, along with familiarity handling sensitive data and information, will inspire trust and build rapport with individuals across all levels.
- With excellent organisational skills, an ability to think on your feet and demonstrate good judgment and sound decision making in a fast paced environment will also be vital.
- Digitally fluent, with an eye for detail, you’ll be in proficient in Microsoft Office and systems and database management, and reliably accurate in all you do.
- You’ll provide a high level of tact and discretion whilst working collaboratively, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to every challenge.
- Demonstrate an ability to work with a high degree of flexibility and accuracy to undertake tasks and additional requirements in order to ensure the success of an event.
- And above all, you have a proactive approach to all you do, driven by delivering collaborative results that will improve our future work and operations.
