About the Position
The New York Yacht Club – Harbour Court in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a dynamic Events Coordinator to manage regattas, sailing events, and social gatherings. This full-time role is ideal for a proactive professional with experience in event coordination, hospitality, or sports management, and a passion for sailing or private club operations.
Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of regattas and club events, from planning to execution

Oversee regatta registration (online and in person)

Coordinate logistics with vendors, staff, and members

Plan and execute social functions and seasonal events

Handle budgeting, invoicing, and P&L support

Ensure exceptional member and guest experiences
Qualifications

Proven event coordination experience, including large-scale or multi-vendor events

Background in hospitality, event management, or sports management (sailing/yacht club experience preferred)

Strong organizational and communication skills with a high level of customer service

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with a positive, proactive attitude

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong writing skills
