We’re looking for a General Practice Assistant to support our clinical team and improve patient care by managing key administrative and basic clinical duties. Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:

Sort and prioritise clinical post, redirecting to appropriate team members (e.g., pharmacists)

Extract key clinical data from correspondence and update patient records

Complete routine forms for GP approval (e.g., insurance, benefits, mortgage)

Schedule appointments, referrals, tests, and follow-ups
Clinical Support:
-
Prepare patients for consultations (brief history, BP, ECGs, urine dips, phlebotomy, etc.)

Explain treatment procedures clearly to patients

Support GP during minor procedures and immunisations
-
Liaise with hospitals or on-call doctors on behalf of the GP when required
What We’re Looking For:

Must hold a GP Assistant Certificate qualification

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage time and workload independently

Understanding of patient confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries

Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
