Job Responsibilities
- Align culinary production with Aramark’s Executional Framework to ensure operational excellence.
- Establish and enforce high culinary standards for food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Lead and oversee a team of culinary professionals, including chef managers and hourly kitchen staff, to consistently deliver quality dishes.
- Train and guide culinary staff in best-in-class food production techniques and kitchen practices.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment through coaching and clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Motivate, reward, and recognize employees to enhance engagement and performance.
- Organize and lead team meetings and daily huddles to ensure clear direction and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate staff records, including training documentation, performance data, and shift checklists.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with clients and guests to support long-term business success.
- Engage with guests daily to enhance the dining experience and address feedback.
- Identify and share insights on regional culinary trends and ingredient innovations.
- Drive achievement of food and labor cost targets.
- Maintain a strong focus on improving margins by analyzing performance metrics, inventory data, and purchasing trends.
- Ensure seamless execution of the daily menu while maintaining speed, quality, and consistency.
- Uphold the integrity of Aramark’s food offerings by consistently maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence principles, including waste reduction, adherence to standard menus and recipes, and effective labor management.
- Manage the supply chain process, ensuring use of authorized suppliers and proper procurement procedures.
- Apply full knowledge and execution of Aramark’s Food Framework.
- Accurately forecast food consumption needs and place timely requisitions and purchase orders.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and fully operational.
- Maintain strict adherence to Aramark’s SAFE food handling and Quality Assurance guidelines, as well as all applicable health, safety, and labor regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of culinary experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- Culinary degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex tasks in a simplified and actionable manner for the team.
- Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and best practices, including leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong oral, reading, and written communication skills.
