Essential Duties:

  • Oversee and manage all key kitchen operating expenses, set financial targets, and control food costs in line with projections.
  • Design and develop menus for the restaurant, banquets, and special events.
  • Direct all aspects of procurement, including order quantities, inventory control, ordering schedules, receiving, invoice reconciliation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Select and use only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients—produce, meats, seafood, poultry, and other food products—to ensure top-tier menu preparation.
  • Consistently uphold food quality and presentation standards across all menu items.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the kitchen operation through financial outcomes and guest satisfaction.
  • Create and document recipes, including recipe cards, detailed descriptions, and visuals when needed.
  • Enforce a comprehensive sanitation program throughout the kitchen to meet health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee proper storage practices, including temperature controls and food rotation, to ensure compliance with local health codes.
  • Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of kitchen staff, including resolving conflicts and handling disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure each new team member receives a thorough orientation and participate in the development of ongoing training programs.
  • Forecast business volume and strategically plan staffing, productivity, and expenses to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery to maximize guest and member satisfaction.
  • Promote and implement safe work practices throughout the kitchen operations.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and perform additional duties as required.

Compensation:
Annual salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience (BOE).


Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree (AA) from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent combination of two to three years of related experience and/or education.


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, speaking, hearing, tasting, and smelling.
  • Regular use of hands and arms to handle and reach.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
