Job Description

Emelec Building Services Ltd, a leading building services contractor, is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee a variety of maintenance PPM contracts and small construction projects. Reporting to the Director, you will ensure efficient project management, client satisfaction, and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:

  • Manage a wide range of PPM contracts, ensuring completion within time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Identify remedial actions and drive revenue through maintenance contracts.
  • Schedule PPMs and set reminders for maintenance items.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and specifications to secure small works tenders.
  • Source suppliers and subcontractors for materials and labour resources.

Client and Supplier Management:

  • Meet with clients onsite to understand requirements.
  • Maintain constant communication with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and proactive issue resolution.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain ISO documentation for all maintenance jobs.
  • Create and maintain Method Statements and RAMS.
  • Ensure all finance documents are raised and processed via SimPRO.

Team Leadership:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a team of engineers.
  • Monitor and support engineers, ensuring they adhere to processes.
  • Conduct training, feedback, and performance reviews as needed.
  • Promote a safe working environment, following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management or supervising projects (preferably in commercial building/construction).
  • Strong understanding of project finances, estimating, and quoting.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of SimPRO (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems (preferred).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with AutoCAD (preferred).
