Position Overview:
North Carolina Central University (NCCU) invites applications for a tenure-eligible faculty position as Assistant or Associate Professor in Health Administration within the Department of Public Health Education, College of Health and Sciences. The selected candidate will serve as lead faculty for the Online Bachelor of Science in Health Administration Flight Path Program, contributing to NCCU’s mission of preparing students to become leaders who advance healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach 3–4 fully online undergraduate courses per semester in areas such as Health Systems, Healthcare Ethics, Law, Risk Management, Informatics, Finance, Quality Management, and Strategic Leadership.

Develop engaging course materials and student assessments in CANVAS or other LMS platforms.

Advise and mentor students on experiential learning, internships, and capstone projects.

Conduct and publish scholarly research in healthcare management, policy, finance, or technology.

Participate in departmental, university, and community service initiatives that strengthen program impact and visibility.

Support accreditation efforts and uphold high standards of teaching excellence.
Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Health Administration or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

University-level teaching experience, preferably in online education.

Evidence of scholarly research or potential for research development.

Familiarity with learning management systems such as CANVAS.
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications (e.g., FACHE, CPHQ, CHC, CPHIMS, CHFP).

Experience with healthcare accreditation agencies (e.g., CAHME).

ACUE or equivalent certification in online teaching quality assurance.
