Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and timely pickup and delivery of goods to customers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Assist with loading or unloading as needed.

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers promptly and courteously, addressing concerns, and escalating issues to leadership when necessary.

  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service compliance.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and work environment.

  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure the proper upkeep of the vehicle, including necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.

  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by following safety policies, using personal protective equipment, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions for resolution.

  • Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately to the supervisor.

  • Participate in the mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and Continuous Monitoring Program.

  • Assist operational staff with other duties as assigned, including intercompany-related driving.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Class A CDL

  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Maintain CDL and DOT medical card

  • Willingness to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, and overnight stays when needed

  • Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred

  • Agricultural background preferred

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience preferred

  • Must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include drug tests, criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, physical assessments, and FMSCA Clearinghouse requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
