Responsibilities

Ensure the accurate and timely pickup and delivery of goods to customers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Assist with loading or unloading as needed.

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers promptly and courteously, addressing concerns, and escalating issues to leadership when necessary.

Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service compliance.

Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and work environment.

Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure the proper upkeep of the vehicle, including necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.

Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by following safety policies, using personal protective equipment, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions for resolution.

Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately to the supervisor.

Participate in the mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and Continuous Monitoring Program.

Assist operational staff with other duties as assigned, including intercompany-related driving.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Class A CDL
-
High School diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications
-
Maintain CDL and DOT medical card
-
Willingness to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks
-
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
-
Flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, and overnight stays when needed

Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred
-
Agricultural background preferred
-
Customer service experience preferred
-
Bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience preferred

Must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include drug tests, criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, physical assessments, and FMSCA Clearinghouse requirements.
