Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently ensure the accurate and timely pickup and delivery of products to customers; assist with loading and unloading as needed.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by treating all customers with professionalism, greeting them promptly and courteously, and addressing concerns immediately or escalating to leadership when necessary.

  • Maintain full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load securement, and hours of service requirements.

  • Keep vehicles and work areas clean and well-maintained.

  • Perform daily maintenance inspections and ensure that necessary repairs and preventive maintenance tasks are completed.

  • Foster a strong culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies, using required personal protective equipment, reporting hazards, and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.

  • Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations to your supervisor.

  • Participate in CHS’s random drug and alcohol testing program as well as the Continuous Monitoring Program.

  • Support operational staff and perform additional duties as assigned, which may include intercompany deliveries.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL

  • High school diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Maintain a valid CDL and current DOT medical card

  • Willingness to learn and perform basic vehicle maintenance

  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English

  • Flexibility to work additional hours, stay overnight, or work occasional weekends as business needs require

  • Tanker and air brake endorsements preferred

  • Background in agriculture is a plus

  • Previous customer service experience preferred

  • Experience handling bulk liquids, operating pressure trailers, or using forklifts is an advantage

  • Pre-employment screenings may include drug testing, criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, physical assessment, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification as required by the position.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
