About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Urology Fellow with a specialist interest in HOLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) to join our dynamic and expanding urology team. This is a senior middle-grade post offering substantial clinical exposure and development in HOLEP surgery within a high-volume elective theatre setting.

The postholder will work closely with Urology Consultants, Specialist Registrars, and Junior Doctors, participating in the General Urology on-call rota. You will also contribute to departmental clinical governance, education, and multidisciplinary meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 1 in 7 general urology on-call rota

  • Lead or support elective urological surgery, with emphasis on HOLEP development

  • Run weekly outpatient clinics and day case surgery lists

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as flexible cystoscopies

  • Contribute to clinical audits and governance processes

  • Participate in regular MDTs and educational meetings

  • Undertake managerial and administrative duties as appropriate
