Your Role as a Finance Analyst

 Core Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst Role

  • Manage daily and weekly performance trackers and maintain accurate reports

  • Analyse profit & loss accounts, identify trends, and report inconsistencies

  • Assist in monthly closings and balance sheet reconciliations with Finance Shared Services

  • Conduct EBITDA reconciliations and operational reporting

  • Collaborate with the UK FP&A team to enhance reporting processes

 Forecasting Duties for the Finance Analyst

  • Manage the 13-week Tracker, Quarterly Rolling Forecasts, and 3-year plans

  • Input forecast data in Cognos and ensure accurate trend analysis

  • Conduct cost driver analysis and variance reporting

Specialist Areas of a Finance Analyst

 Product Costing & Pricing Analysis

  • Partner with Procurement for price forecasting

  • Complete standards resets with deep costing analysis

  • Deliver ad-hoc costing reviews and maintain pricing accuracy

 Process Improvement & Change Management

  • Communicate with stakeholders and suggest enhancements

  • Drive continuous improvement across finance functions

  • Support centralisation, transformation, and IS projects

Finance Analyst Compliance & Leadership

Control Environment & People Management

  • Monitor and uphold internal business controls

  • Assist with audit activities and compliance

  • Support and mentor Associate Finance Analysts

  • Conduct regular performance assessments

Who You Are

  • Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex data

  • Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft tools

  • Analytical thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset

  • Ideally experienced with finance ERP and reporting systems

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified candidates welcome
