We’re seeking a results-driven Finance Analyst – Retail Operations to support our 400+ UK retail stores and outsourced Customer Care team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Retail Operations, this role offers a unique mix of analytical and business partnering responsibilities. As a Finance Analyst – Retail Operations, you’ll play a key part in budgeting, performance reporting, stakeholder engagement, and supporting strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities of a Finance Analyst – Retail Operations
As a Finance Analyst – Retail Operations, you’ll be deeply involved in shaping financial performance and driving strategic insights across the Retail Ops division.

Lead budget creation and forecasting aligned with the annual planning cycle.

Produce accurate management accounts and monitor capex/opex project spend.

Manage and analyze controllable costs across stores, especially Store Payroll, presenting insights to senior leaders.

Collaborate with the Head of Customer Care to drive performance and reduce cost per contact.

Attend retail stakeholder meetings as a finance representative, providing insight and guidance.

Prepare detailed cost-impact analyses for strategic initiatives and board-level presentations.

Deliver ad-hoc analysis around underperforming KPIs and trial performance outcomes.
Reporting and Forecasting Duties – Finance Analyst – Retail Operations
In the reporting and analysis component of the Finance Analyst – Retail Operations role, your responsibilities will include:

Executing the “breakback process” to generate store-level sales targets during both budget cycles and reforecasting phases.

Creating and maintaining weekly KPI dashboards, monthly scorecards, and bonus trackers.

Producing and enhancing insight reports that help business units improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Business Partnering Duties – Finance Analyst – Retail Operations
This role also demands strong business partnering skills:

Build effective relationships with store and customer care stakeholders.

Help set stretch targets and hold teams accountable for performance delivery.

Provide day-to-day financial support and input into new business cases and initiatives.

Represent Finance across Retail Ops meetings, driving collaboration and strategic alignment.
