Finance and Administration Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and motivated Finance and Administration Assistant to join the team at Sandringham Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving academy and Multi Academy Trust that places pupil success and staff development at its core.

Working alongside the Academy Business Manager and Office Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth financial and administrative operation of the school. You will have experience working with children and/or in educational settings, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Business Manager and Office Manager

  • Support with financial processing and record-keeping

  • Ensure school systems are up-to-date and maintained efficiently

  • Handle enquiries from parents, staff, and external agencies professionally

  • Contribute to organising school events and activities

  • Support general office functions as part of a collaborative admin team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in school or educational administration (preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritise workload

  • Confident working independently and collaboratively

  • Proficient in IT systems, especially Microsoft Excel and administrative software
