Role Purpose:
Working closely with the CEO and Service Manager, the Finance and Business Support Officer will lead the day-to-day financial management and administrative coordination of FCWA. This is a critical role ensuring operational efficiency and financial integrity across all areas of the charity, including finance, office admin, and facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Resources:

Manage all financial transactions using SAGE and Excel

Conduct monthly bank reconciliations

Prepare annual income/expenditure budgets and monitor against actuals

Maintain accurate financial records and submit statutory accounts to the Charity Commission and funders

Support audit compliance, internal controls, and funding submissions

Generate bi-monthly accounts for trustees
-
Manage petty cash and invoice payments
Office Administration:

Oversee all admin procedures and filing systems

Order office supplies and coordinate incoming donations
-
Monitor FCWA email accounts and respond to queries
-
Record meeting minutes and follow up on action points
Facilities Maintenance:

Conduct health & safety checks and risk assessments

Schedule and oversee maintenance work

Ensure the building is maintained to a safe and professional standard
Organisational Responsibilities:

Represent FCWA values in internal and external communications

Attend team meetings, training, and working groups

Promote effective teamwork and information sharing

Support delivery of services in line with policies and professional standards
Person Specification:
Required Knowledge:
-
Understanding of domestic violence and safeguarding
-
Experience with SAGE, Office 365, and data protection

Health & safety and risk assessment knowledge
Qualifications:

ATT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)

GCSE Maths and English
-
SAGE qualification
Experience:
-
2–5 years in a similar role

Strong background in bookkeeping, records management, and voluntary sector work
