Job Description
Join Ardonagh Specialty as a Finance Assistant, providing high-quality accounting support to internal and external customers. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations, support credit control, and maintain accurate financial records while working within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient accounting support, maintaining compliance with FCA Rules (CASS 5.4) and Financial Crime prevention.
- Manage credit control for customer and inter-company accounts.
- Verify supplier bank details and update beneficiary templates.
- Accurately enter invoices and staff expenses on Sun Systems.
- Perform regular payment runs and produce RBS Bankline payments when required.
- Reconcile and post bank statements, maintain accurate records, and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and post NST payments and receipts using Bank Systems and Global XB.
- Handle internal and external NST-related queries efficiently.
- Support the finance team in ensuring compliance and managing financial risks.
- Maintain excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent Ardonagh Specialty’s values with professionalism and integrity.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum GCSE Grade B / Level 6 in Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Strong data input skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with Sun Systems.
- Understanding of FCA Rules and Financial Crime prevention.
