Job Description

Join Ardonagh Specialty as a Finance Assistant, providing high-quality accounting support to internal and external customers. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations, support credit control, and maintain accurate financial records while working within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient accounting support, maintaining compliance with FCA Rules (CASS 5.4) and Financial Crime prevention.
  • Manage credit control for customer and inter-company accounts.
  • Verify supplier bank details and update beneficiary templates.
  • Accurately enter invoices and staff expenses on Sun Systems.
  • Perform regular payment runs and produce RBS Bankline payments when required.
  • Reconcile and post bank statements, maintain accurate records, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and post NST payments and receipts using Bank Systems and Global XB.
  • Handle internal and external NST-related queries efficiently.
  • Support the finance team in ensuring compliance and managing financial risks.
  • Maintain excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Ardonagh Specialty’s values with professionalism and integrity.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade B / Level 6 in Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Strong data input skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Sun Systems.
  • Understanding of FCA Rules and Financial Crime prevention.
