Position Overview
Reporting to the AVP of Planning & Budget, the Finance Budget Manager plays a key role in planning, monitoring, and analyzing the College’s expenditures. This role involves producing financial reports, forecasting multi-year performance, and supporting the annual budget process to align with institutional priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, prepare, and monitor the College’s financial plan and budget allocations.

Create and update analytical models, comparing actual expenses vs. budgeted amounts.

Prepare financial and statistical reports; forecast long-term financial performance.

Provide guidance to department heads on special budget allocations (e.g., Technology Fees, College Now, ASAP).

Evaluate fiscal impact of programs and policy changes; recommend solutions.

Assist in developing budgeting policies and procedures and interpreting University-wide policies.

Build strong relationships with senior leadership, providing financial insight and reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s Degree and six years’ related experience.

Strong financial analysis, modeling, and reporting skills.

Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Master’s Degree.

Experience in higher education or CUNY system.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $105,816 – $118,070 (commensurate with education and experience).
