Our client is a battery manufacturer. They are looking for a Finance Manager who will assist with supporting the VP Finance with both day-to-day business requirements along with executing strategic directives.

About the Opportunity

Provide in depth and value-added financial analysis by:

• Developing a thorough understanding of our business and industry.
• Consolidation of large amounts of data from multiple sources.
• Utilizing existing templates and models as well as developing them as appropriate.
• Performing cost benefit, return on investment and payback scenarios on various investment opportunities.
• Performing profit analysis on both the customer/deal level as well as in aggregate over a period of time.
• Obtaining a sufficient understanding to perform analysis at the material, customer, branch or divisional level.
• Contributes to Finance’s continuous improvement initiatives by:Working closely with the VP Finance to identify efficiencies and implement controls.
• Liasing with different areas of the business to provide support from Finance’s perspective.
• Developing, monitoring and assessing processes surrounding both price and cost changes as it relates to inventory.
• Performing ad hoc analysis to assess whether pricing strategies are in line with the businesses strategic goals.
• Staying up to date on compliance requirements with both Federal and Provincial governments.

Enhance Financial Reporting, both internal and external, by:Consolidation of large amounts of data and simplifying into a useable report format.

• Providing insightful commentary that adds value to the financial review process.
• Developing a thorough understanding of our audited financial statements and providing support to the Financial Controller as needed.
• Obtaining sufficient knowledge of data consolidation and presentation tools including Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Implementing appropriate controls to ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
