Position Summary
Reporting to the Corporate Finance Director, the Finance Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily finance operations and managing monthly financial closings and reporting for Corporate Functions. This position also leads financial analysis efforts across budgeting, forecasting, cost reduction initiatives, and operational performance reviews. Serving as a strategic partner, the Finance Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and leadership across various levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, resourcefulness, and a proactive mindset to drive process improvements and deliver accurate, timely financial insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of budgets and analyze financial performance, offering actionable recommendations.

  • Conduct advanced financial analyses to evaluate current performance and forecast future outcomes.

  • Provide routine business support to aid in data-driven decision-making.

  • Manage all aspects of the monthly financial close process to ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting, including variance analysis.

  • Oversee inventory management, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.

  • Support and/or manage internal and external audit processes and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, or related fields.

  • 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience required.

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively across teams and geographies.


Compensation & Benefits

Salary:

  • Base salary range for this role in Chicago, IL: $84,000 – $140,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Bonus Eligibility:

  • Participation in a performance-based bonus plan, in accordance with program terms.
