About the Role

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Finance Manager – Legal Project Management (LPM) to join its Global Finance team. Based in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office, this role plays a critical part in overseeing matter management support, automated reporting, and self-service analytics provided to attorneys. The position focuses on improving efficiency, governance, and data-driven decision-making through strategic reporting tools and collaboration with legal and support teams. This position may offer a hybrid work arrangement with both remote and in-office flexibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and governance of analytics and reporting frameworks within the LPM function.

  • Manage the delivery of timely and high-quality outputs for both routine and complex reporting requests.

  • Establish and enforce standardized procedures to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.

  • Lead, coach, and support career development for LPM analysts.

  • Cultivate a collaborative team culture that fosters strong partnerships with attorneys, finance teams, and support departments firmwide.

  • Drive the rollout of self-service analytics tools to support attorney workflows and enhance client and matter management.

  • Handle highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, statistics, or a related field (required).

  • Advanced degree in a related discipline (preferred).

  • At least 7 years of analytical experience, including 2+ years leading projects or initiatives.

  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.

  • Background in finance or professional services environment (preferred).

  • Prior experience in client-facing or customer service roles (preferred).
