About the Role
Latham & Watkins is seeking a Finance Manager – Legal Project Management (LPM) to join its Global Finance team. Based in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office, this role plays a critical part in overseeing matter management support, automated reporting, and self-service analytics provided to attorneys. The position focuses on improving efficiency, governance, and data-driven decision-making through strategic reporting tools and collaboration with legal and support teams. This position may offer a hybrid work arrangement with both remote and in-office flexibility.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the development and governance of analytics and reporting frameworks within the LPM function.

Manage the delivery of timely and high-quality outputs for both routine and complex reporting requests.

Establish and enforce standardized procedures to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.

Lead, coach, and support career development for LPM analysts.

Cultivate a collaborative team culture that fosters strong partnerships with attorneys, finance teams, and support departments firmwide.

Drive the rollout of self-service analytics tools to support attorney workflows and enhance client and matter management.

Handle highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, statistics, or a related field (required).

Advanced degree in a related discipline (preferred).

At least 7 years of analytical experience, including 2+ years leading projects or initiatives.

2+ years of supervisory or management experience.

Background in finance or professional services environment (preferred).

Prior experience in client-facing or customer service roles (preferred).

Annual salary range: $170,000 – $190,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
