Finance Manager – Supply Chain Optimization

Amazon’s Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) team manages global inventory planning, determining what, when, where, and how much inventory to purchase. Handling millions of products across numerous categories, SCOT drives efficiency and automation in large-scale supply chain management.

We are seeking a Finance Manager to support the Automated Inventory Management team. This role will provide financial insights, manage inventory reporting, enhance key performance indicators, and ensure strong financial controls. You will collaborate with senior leaders and drive data-driven decision-making to optimize Amazon’s worldwide inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial support for Global Retail Inventory Management.

  • Maintain controllership of inventory management tools and systems.

  • Lead inventory commentary for month-end financial reviews with senior executives.

  • Develop models to assess financial trade-offs and improve inventory efficiency.

  • Establish scalable financial controls for inventory management systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related analytical field.

  • 5+ years of finance or analytical experience (or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Experience with large-scale data tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP).

  • MBA or CPA preferred.
