The Finance Manager provides financial, accounting, and private awards management support for global conservation teams. This role collaborates on proposals, develops budgets and forecasts, manages financial reporting, and ensures compliance with organizational policies. You will oversee complex grants across multiple business units, support contracts and sub-awards, and provide financial guidance to Conservation Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage grants, contracts, payables, receivables, and donor reporting.

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.

  • Support global conservation teams with accounting processes.

  • Provide financial guidance on proposals, grants, and reporting.

  • Collaborate across geographies, especially with Latin America teams.

  • Mentor junior finance staff and ensure compliance with TNC standards.

  • Prepare and deliver quarterly financial results and forecasts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field plus 4+ years of related experience (or equivalent).

  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.

  • Experience with accounting systems, reporting, and grant compliance.

  • Knowledge of regulations related to grants and contracts.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience working across teams and multiple organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Portuguese.

  • Non-profit accounting experience.

  • Full-cost budgeting experience.
