Finance Officer – Join Our Finance Operations Team

Are you looking for a rewarding career as a Finance Officer? We are a leading housing association managing over 7,500 homes in South-West Hertfordshire, dedicated to providing affordable housing for lower-income households. As a Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality financial services while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic business environment.

Location: Hybrid (Community, Office & Remote)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

Finance Officer – Your Role & Responsibilities

Financial Accuracy & Reconciliation

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in financial records and reconciliations.

  • Perform regular account and bank reconciliations.

  • Take ownership of financial queries and ensure timely resolution.

Customer-Focused Financial Services

  • Provide excellent customer service while handling financial transactions.

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure data security and confidentiality while managing sensitive financial information.

Career Development in Finance

  • Work towards a certified accounting qualification.

  • Apply your accounting knowledge in real-world business scenarios.

  • Gain hands-on experience in financial operations, building a strong foundation for your career.

Skills & Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong numeracy skills and basic knowledge of accounting.

  • GCSE-level education or higher.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

  • Strong time management and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to pass a satisfactory DBS check.

Desirable:

  • AAT qualification (or working towards it).

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
