We are a leading housing association managing over 7,500 homes in South-West Hertfordshire, dedicated to providing affordable housing for lower-income households. As a Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality financial services while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic business environment.
Location: Hybrid (Community, Office & Remote)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Finance Officer – Your Role & Responsibilities
Financial Accuracy & Reconciliation

Maintain a high level of accuracy in financial records and reconciliations.

Perform regular account and bank reconciliations.

Take ownership of financial queries and ensure timely resolution.
Customer-Focused Financial Services

Provide excellent customer service while handling financial transactions.

Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure data security and confidentiality while managing sensitive financial information.
Career Development in Finance

Work towards a certified accounting qualification.

Skills & Qualifications – What We’re Looking For
Essential:

Strong numeracy skills and basic knowledge of accounting.

GCSE-level education or higher.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Strong time management and teamwork abilities.

Ability to pass a satisfactory DBS check.
Desirable:

AAT qualification (or working towards it).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
