 Finance Officer (Service Charge) – Key Role in Housing Finance

As a Finance Officer (Service Charge), you’ll support the Service Charge Accountant and wider finance team to ensure budgets, allocations, and forecasts are managed effectively. You’ll work with service charge accounts, process financial data, and help maintain compliance with regulations and occupancy agreements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in calculating and allocating service charges

  • Help prepare scheme budgets and forecasts

  • Maintain accurate scheme accounts

  • Ensure full regulatory and legal compliance

  • Deliver strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders

This role suits individuals who enjoy analytical tasks, have excellent Excel skills, and are detail-focused.

 Qualifications & Skills for a Finance Officer (Service Charge)

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to manage and analyze large sets of financial data

  • Experience working in finance or housing preferred

  • AAT Part Qualified or willingness to work toward qualification

  • Excellent time management and reporting skills

 Interview Details

Interviews for the Finance Officer (Service Charge) role will take place via Microsoft Teams on 20 May. The process includes a competency-based interview and an Excel assessment. Ensure you have access to Microsoft Excel on the day of your interview.

  • Salary: £26,367 per annum

  • Location: Hybrid (Bradford or Stockton)

  • Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week

  • Eligibility to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)
