We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to this newly created role at an exciting time of
expansion and development you will be required to contribute to the whole life of the School, College and Charitable Trust, always remembering that our core purpose is to improve the education and lives of the young people at all of the Trust’s provisions.
The post holder will work as a member of the Central Services Finance Team and will have
responsibility for the production of the budgets and financial accounts for selected entities within
Ruskin Mill Trust and Ruskin Mill Land Trust Group.
In this role you will;
• complete the monthly management accounts of selected entities, identifying the variances
between the actual and the budgeted figures and support the senior managers to take
appropriate actions.
• maintain an overview of all ledgers ensuring the correct posting of all invoices and journals,
accruals and prepayments.
• assist in the assembly of the annual budget for the Trust
• offer financial guidance and advice to management and staff that reflects the policies of the Trust.
• plan and prepare all audit requirements to a high standard and work with external auditors
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with ongoing membership of an appropriate
professional body, have significant advanced excel skills and be able to demonstrate a track record of success within a comparable setting. A high level of personal resilience coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to align functional and operational objectives with those of the organisation would be a distinct advantage.
