The SCO is hiring a Financial Accountant IV (Section Manager) in the Bureau of Cash Management. This role involves leading and directing supervisory and professional accounting staff in complex financial accounting, forecasting, cash management, reporting, and reconciliation activities related to various state funds and accounts. Key duties include preparing financial reports, analyzing transactions, monitoring the General Fund, overseeing cash flow forecasting, evaluating and implementing cash management processes, reconciling financial records, and managing the Discharge of Accountability program.
The position requires strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to evaluate staff performance and implement process improvements. The candidate will also participate in the implementation of a new financial accounting system (FI$Cal) and ensure adherence to the division’s mission and internal controls.
