Financial Analyst – FP&A

The Role

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a crucial role in Galileo’s growth strategy, providing financial visibility and accountability through strong relationships and data-driven insights.

What You’ll Do

As a Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you will support various functions within the finance team, with a focus on the Galileo business unit of SoFi Technologies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development, maintenance, and refinement of financial models to project revenue and expenses.
  • Supporting KPI tracking and contributing to the development and validation of new KPI definitions.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data by managing relational databases.
  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including board and investor presentations.
  • Collaborating with accounting, legal, business partners, and SoFi corporate finance teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting, compliance with fiscal policies, and strategic decision-making support.
  • Assisting with audit requests as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Experience in building and maintaining complex financial models using Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong skills in Google Slides and/or Microsoft PowerPoint with familiarity in financial planning systems.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, clear communication, and a results-driven approach.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with NetSuite and Workday Financials.
  • Knowledge of SQL for financial data management.
  • Ability to develop analytics dashboards using Tableau or Looker.
