Main Duties of the Financial Analyst Job
Financial Analyst Responsibilities and Key Duties
As a Financial Analyst, you will manage all aspects of income and expenditure for a designated Area/Division or Executive Directorate Budget, ensuring compliance with Standing Financial Instructions, Accounting Standards, and Guidelines.
You will work closely with the Financial and Management Accounting Teams, providing professional advice and support to Health Board managers. Part of your role will involve investigating financial variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Ensuring accurate processing of income, expenditure, and invoices, you will support statutory reporting requirements through collaborative work with Finance colleagues and across the broader Health Board.
Timely, precise, and meaningful financial management reporting under tight deadlines is crucial. You must ensure all work aligns with Standing Orders, Financial Instructions, and Delegation Schemes.
