Position Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data to support business decision-making. This role involves compiling account information, maintaining accurate financial records, auditing documents, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries.

• Document financial transactions, including journal entries, asset records, and inventory.

• Maintain prepaid dues and subscription schedules.

• Summarize current financial status via balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other reports.

• Audit and substantiate financial transactions.

• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.

• Resolve financial discrepancies by analyzing account information.

• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls.

• Comply with legal financial requirements and advise management on necessary actions.

• Prepare special financial reports summarizing account trends.

• Protect sensitive financial information and maintain customer confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Spectrum software is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment background check and MVR check (if driving responsibilities exist).
