Key Responsibilities of a Financial Analyst

  • Lead financial discussions and identify areas for improvement or opportunity.

  • Analyze monthly financial reports, trends, and revenue/spending patterns.

  • Prepare accurate forecasts for operating divisions and cost centers.

  • Review financial data for discrepancies and generate detailed variance reports.

  • Develop ad hoc financial reports to support executive decision-making.

  • Prepare ROI analyses and financial models for business strategy planning.

  • Ensure correct project setup for invoicing and compliance with SOWs.

  • Assist divisions in structuring new projects and supporting payroll documentation.

  • Promote digital financial tools and automation to enhance reporting efficiency.


Qualifications for the Financial Analyst Role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • 2–3+ years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or corporate finance.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables required).

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and business operations.


Preferred Skills for a Financial Analyst

  • Experience using Workday or similar financial systems.

  • Ability to prepare professional reports, PowerPoint presentations, and documents.

  • Strong collaboration and decision-making abilities in a remote environment.
