Alpha Omega is seeking an experienced Comp Internal Controls Financial Auditor to support one of our federal government clients in ensuring compliance, strengthening financial operations, and improving processes. As a Comp Internal Controls Financial Auditor, you will lead internal audits, create audit reports, and provide strategic recommendations that help drive accountability and efficiency across federal programs. This is a remote position requiring a U.S. Citizen with a Public Trust clearance. Key Responsibilities of a Comp Internal Controls Financial Auditor
As a Comp Internal Controls Financial Auditor, your role will include:

Conducting internal audits and reviews of ARPA-H programs, processes, and operations.

Creating audit plans, gathering documentation, and preparing reports with compliance-driven recommendations.

Ensuring adherence to federal laws, regulations, and performance standards.

Developing internal processes for risk mitigation, trend analysis, and performance metrics.

Reviewing policies, guides, and instructions to assess impacts on ARPA-H and Comptroller operations.

Supporting compliance initiatives and taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Needed for a Comp Internal Controls Financial Auditor
To succeed as a Comp Internal Controls Financial Auditor, you should have:

A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (preferred).

At least 9 years of experience in financial management, auditing, and internal controls.

Strong expertise in OMB Circular A-123, ERM, GPRA, and GAGAS.

Proven ability to analyze data, detect anomalies, and provide actionable insights.

Technical knowledge of complex financial systems and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills in fast-changing environments.

Professional certification (CPA, CFA, or similar) preferred.
Salary Range and Benefits

Salary: $108,000 – $150,000 (final compensation based on experience, skills, and certifications).
