Financial Operations Analyst – Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Operations Analyst, your primary responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and verifying data to support accurate invoicing and accrual processes. You will:

  • Review and interpret client contracts during onboarding for invoicing requirements

  • Ensure timely completion of invoicing and accruals within defined scopes

  • Analyze variances and financial trends to identify issues or improvement opportunities

  • Perform proactive audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy

  • Provide ad hoc reporting and assist leadership with performance insights

  • Communicate barriers or findings to appropriate teams to ensure resolution

Skills & Qualifications for Financial Operations Analyst

To succeed as a Financial Operations Analyst, you should possess:

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, healthcare, or financial analysis

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data interpretation skills

  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and critical thinking abilities

  • Knowledge of revenue cycle structures and financial systems

  • HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within 9 months of hire

Preferred qualifications include business or accounting experience in healthcare and advanced Excel or data visualization skills.
