About the Role

The Clinical Research Finance Analyst is responsible for overseeing financial operations within the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Office of Clinical Research (OCR). The role focuses on managing the accounts receivable portfolio exceeding $5 million for more than 250 active or developing clinical trials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity across all research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable for clinical research, including invoicing, reconciliations, and collections.

  • Maintain financial statements, invoice logs, and detailed records for each clinical trial.

  • Prepare financial reports and data summaries for management and external partners.

  • Support business operations, including payroll, billing, travel reimbursements, and purchasing.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state research billing regulations and UC policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in clinical trial agreements and research billing.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and data reporting systems.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Profic                                                       iency in Excel and database management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), preferably OnCore.

  • Background in oncology research financial management.

  • Knowledge of automated financial systems and multiple funding sources.
