Food Hub Driver

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and organized Food & Logistics Driver to safely transport food products, supplies, and equipment using box trucks and delivery vans. The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries, maintain product quality, and provide excellent customer service while supporting operational efficiency, fleet maintenance, and food safety procedures. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely pick up and deliver Food Hub products using box trucks (up to 24-foot) or comparable delivery vehicles.

• Inspect product quality and quantity prior to delivery to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Maintain fleet and facility cleanliness, including sanitation and minor vehicle upkeep.

• Provide excellent customer service to producers, clients, and internal team members.

• Maintain accurate record-keeping of mileage, delivery confirmations, and route tracking.

• Communicate effectively with producers, customers, and internal staff to coordinate schedules, ETAs, and order updates.

• Support food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with company standards.

• Perform additional duties as required to support logistics and distribution operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience driving box trucks or similarly sized vehicles (CDL not required).

• Clean driving record; eligible for DOT medical card.

• Minimum age of 21 years.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jacks safely.

• Reliable transportation to headquarters.

• Professional attitude and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

• Experience in logistics or food distribution.

• Knowledge of local produce and delivery area.

• Mechanical knowledge of trucks and minor vehicle maintenance.

• ServSafe certification.
