About the Role
Glendale School District is seeking a Food Server to join our nutrition services team immediately. This working lead role is responsible for preparing and serving meals that meet food quality and safety standards while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve meals in accordance with menus and standardized recipes

Oversee food quality, sanitation, and portion control

Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and food preparation areas

Supervise and train helpers or student workers in routine food service tasks

Organize food storage, ordering, and inventory management

Maintain accurate records of food service, participation, and financials

Collaborate with staff and custodial teams to ensure a safe and efficient operation

Comply with district food safety, health, and fiscal guidelines
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
-
Minimum one (1) year of related experience; lead food service experience preferred

Valid Oregon Food Handlers Certificate (required)

Ability to prepare and serve meals using standard kitchen equipment and cooking methods

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Successful background check required
