We are currently seeking a committed and knowledgeable Food Service Dietitian to join our team supporting the University of Cincinnati Athletics. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Performance Executive Chef, General Manager, and the UC Performance Nutrition Team to develop menus and oversee the athletic performance center’s training table.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Executive Performance Chef, General Manager, and UC Performance Team to design and manage menus for the athletic performance center training table.

  • Oversee quality control for the training table, ensuring accurate menu execution, high standards for food quality, proper food and allergen labeling, and adherence to Sodexo Live! best practices.

  • Manage training table software systems (such as TeamWorks Nutrition Kitchen), including integration of menu items, meal scheduling, and allergen tracking.

  • Collaborate with culinary staff to accommodate student-athletes’ dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.

  • Provide nutrition education to student-athletes regarding menu choices and conduct training sessions for culinary staff on food safety, allergen awareness, and quality standards.

  • Be present during meal services as needed to answer questions related to food selections, nutritional content, and dietary accommodations.

  • Gather and facilitate regular feedback on menu offerings and services in coordination with the UC Performance Nutrition Team.

  • Support nutrition education initiatives such as cooking demonstrations and themed meals.

  • Assist with inventory management and ordering for training table selections and fueling stations as directed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the UC Performance Nutrition Team and Sodexo Live! management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

  • Licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Ohio within 60 days of hire.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a food service role as an RD/RDN.

  • Supervisory experience (1-3 years) is preferred.

  • Strong passion for food service, menu design, and inventory management.

  • Experience in an athletics nutrition setting is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and nutrition tracking software.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely in environments with wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise.

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and maneuvering in tight spaces.

  • Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
