Position Overview
The Warehouse Operator/Forklift Operator plays a key role in optimizing the selection and loading process for Nestlé products. This position ensures order accuracy, meets established productivity targets, and upholds product integrity and quality standards throughout the loading process. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in inventory and tracking systems while identifying and mitigating waste to enhance efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) for order selection and loading while maintaining internal forklift certification.
- Accurately and efficiently load finished products onto delivery trucks while completing quality inspection forms.
- Prepare necessary documentation to maintain the highest product quality standards.
- Meet key performance metrics and identify opportunities to enhance distribution center operations.
- Recognize and eliminate inefficiencies (wasted labor, time, product handling) to drive continuous improvement.
- Learn and use inventory tracking systems, including:
- EWM (Wave Control, Replenishment, Stock Moves, Inventory Adjustments)
- SAP (Dock & Yard, Transportation Planning, D-note creation, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, Workflow Coordinators, and Operations Supervisors to maintain product flow and prevent disruptions.
- Follow corporate safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment, and address unsafe conditions proactively.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance to ensure a clean, inspection-ready workspace at all times.

Minimum Requirements & Education
- At least 18 years of age.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Successful completion of post-offer background checks and drug screening.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Warehouse equipment experience preferred (forklift, rider pallet jacks, bomber, etc.).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly and stand for 6-8 hours per shift.
- 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred; experience in a freezer/refrigerated environment is a plus.
