Primary Responsibility

Under general supervision, the Lift Truck Operator (LTO) and Warehouse Worker are responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. This role requires operating various equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and radio frequency (RF) equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load and unload freight using appropriate equipment to transport products within the facility.
  • Properly stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, and inspect freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation. Responsibilities also include labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
  • Operate equipment—including stand-up forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behinds, single/double pallet jacks, and RF devices—in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties such as inventory management, cleaning, and forklift battery changes. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Required Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • At least three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as required, along with adherence to attendance policies and punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
