The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and plays a vital role in shaping their overall hotel experience. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage guest needs with courtesy and efficiency. From check-in to check-out, you will ensure every guest feels welcomed, supported, and valued.

Key Responsibilities

As a Front Desk Agent, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism

  • Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately, entering information into the hotel system without errors

  • Answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and providing details about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions

  • Handling reservations, including room bookings, updates to guest information, and processing payments

  • Addressing guest concerns and complaints quickly and courteously, working toward positive resolutions and high guest satisfaction

  • Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared and guest needs are addressed promptly

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area

  • Processing guest payments, handling cash and credit card transactions, and preparing reports as required

  • Assisting with concierge services, such as offering dining, transportation, and activity recommendations

  • Following all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols

  • Supporting the Front Desk Supervisor or Manager with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in hospitality is a plus

  • Previous customer service, hospitality, or front desk experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management systems is an advantage

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-focused mindset

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills
