Grosvenor Hotel, Plymouth is looking for friendly, organised, and professional Front Desk Staff to serve as the first point of contact for our valued guests. This role is key to ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Duties

Welcome guests warmly and follow correct registration/check-in procedures

Provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions

Complete guest check-ins, check-outs, and manage outstanding payments

Handle cash-ups and reconciliation at the end of shifts

Manage room reservations and allocations

Assist with guest requests for special events (e.g., weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)

Answer phone calls and emails professionally

Process payments, issue receipts/invoices, and handle cash securely

Keep guest records accurate using hotel booking systems

Coordinate room readiness with housekeeping and maintenance
Experience & Skills Required

Minimum 6 months of experience in a front desk or administrative role

Familiarity with hotel software systems (Q Book, EPOS preferred)

Strong typing and data entry accuracy

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
