Position Overview
The Finish Carpenter is responsible for completing assigned project tasks under the direction of the Construction Superintendent and, occasionally, the Director of Maintenance. Work includes installation and repair of doors, frames, trim, crown mold, toilet accessories, shelving, hardware, and other renovation-related items. This role requires both independent work and teamwork with minimal supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities

Execute and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with quality workmanship.

Maintain cleanliness in work and break areas.

Keep all equipment in good working condition.

Comply with Plymouth Harbor’s safety standards at all times.

Support fellow Construction and Maintenance staff as a team member.

Report maintenance or construction issues to the Construction Superintendent.

Request required materials, supplies, and equipment on time.

Assist with escorting vendors and subcontractors to designated areas.

Properly dispose of work debris.

Attend required workshops, seminars, and in-services.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a finish carpenter.

Experience with drywall and texturing preferred.
General Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, respectful demeanor.

Skilled in using basic hand and power tools.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Ability to read/comprehend construction plans, work orders, and instructions.

Able to document completed assignments.

Good judgment, common sense, and communication skills (verbal and written).

Must be fluent in English.
