Full Time or Part Time Insurance Verification Specialist / Medical Front office

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient check-in and ensure accurate, efficient intake processes.

  • Verify insurance coverage independently and in a timely manner (required skill).

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally.

  • Schedule patient appointments according to clinic guidelines.

  • Collect co-pays and deductible amounts at check-in.

  • Obtain referrals and ensure proper documentation is scanned into EMR.

  • Prepare charts with all necessary information for patient appointments.

  • Handle patient check-out, collect balances, and schedule follow-up visits.

  • File, retrieve, and maintain electronic and physical patient records.

  • Conduct patient billing reviews and daily charge audits.

  • May be cross-trained as a back office float for clinic support.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

  • Minimum 1 year of front office experience in a clinical setting (Required)

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in insurance verification (Required/Preferred)

  • Ability to complete insurance verifications self-sufficiently and on time is mandatory.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

  • Experience with EMR systems and front-desk operations in healthcare.

  • Completion of relevant skills assessments is highly encouraged for priority consideration.
