Position Summary:
We are seeking a general construction laborer to work on projects in the Asheville region, typically within an hour drive from Asheville. The job may require working overtime and some weekends.
The right candidate will work closely with and assist the project superintendent to complete multiple tasks required throughout the day. These tasks may include light carpentry work, demolition, operating machinery and electric tools, cleaning, sweeping, digging/shoveling, using various hand tools, climbing ladders and scaffolding, moving and/or unloading materials, record keeping, working on building interiors, interacting with subcontractors, and other various duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.
- Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
- Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, and owners representatives.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.
- Properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Some previous construction site experience preferred, though not necessarily required.
