Role Summary

We’re seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead Coco’s launch and operations in the Chicago market. As the local CEO, you will own the success of Coco in the region—driving business development, managing operations, overseeing financial performance, and leading a high-performing team.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and HQ leadership, making this one of the most high-impact roles in the company’s expansion journey.

Key Responsibilities

Market Launch & Growth

  • Lead the full go-to-market execution in Chicago, ensuring staffing, fleet deployment, and readiness are on track.

  • Develop and implement a localized market strategy to drive merchant adoption and community engagement.

  • Build strong partnerships with local merchants, business leaders, and stakeholders to establish Coco as a trusted delivery partner.

Operational Leadership

  • Manage day-to-day operations including fleet performance, delivery logistics, and on-ground issue resolution.

  • Implement best-in-class processes to ensure efficiency, uptime, and scalability.

  • Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Hire, train, and lead a multidisciplinary team, including operations, field technicians, sales, account managers, and support staff.

  • Foster a high-performance culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Provide coaching and career development for team growth and retention.

Financial Ownership

  • Own and manage the market P&L, aligning business goals with financial health.

  • Monitor KPIs and analyze performance data to drive improvements.

  • Implement margin optimization strategies while maintaining exceptional service quality.Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Chicago and Coco HQ.

  • Partner with central teams in Product, Engineering, Marketing, and People Ops to ensure strategic alignment.

  • Relay local market insights to influence product roadmaps and national expansion strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in general management, operations, or regional leadership roles—preferably in logistics, delivery, mobility, or tech startups.

  • Proven ability to launch and scale a market or business line.

  • Experience managing complex, fast-paced operations with high service expectations.

  • Strong grasp of financials: budgeting, forecasting, and managing full P&L responsibility.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to hire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Comfortable using modern operational tools and data platforms (e.g., HubSpot, dashboards, CRMs).
