We’re looking for a General Practice Assistant to support our clinical team and improve patient care by managing key administrative and basic clinical duties. Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Sort and prioritise clinical post, redirecting to appropriate team members (e.g., pharmacists)

  • Extract key clinical data from correspondence and update patient records

  • Complete routine forms for GP approval (e.g., insurance, benefits, mortgage)

  • Schedule appointments, referrals, tests, and follow-ups

Clinical Support:

  • Prepare patients for consultations (brief history, BP, ECGs, urine dips, phlebotomy, etc.)

  • Explain treatment procedures clearly to patients

  • Support GP during minor procedures and immunisations

  • Liaise with hospitals or on-call doctors on behalf of the GP when required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must hold a GP Assistant Certificate qualification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage time and workload independently

  • Understanding of patient confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries

  • Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude

Desirable Skills & Qualities:

  • Familiarity with primary care software and systems

  • Experience in a clinical or patient-facing environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
